課程概述

This course is designed to enhance students’ English proficiency in four skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking, as a preparation for further study in their specific fields. Class will be conducted in English. Students are required to participate in discussion, presentation and other activities to improve their English, to enlarge their horizon and to sharpen their critical thinking. 

課程目標
Students learn how to really use English in daily life and in academic condition.
Requirement includes: Oral presentation in group of 2-3; team work on vocabulary list; weekly listening homework; written homework on grammar; 3 compositions.

Three writings are to be handed in. As for the due dates, regulation and guidelines, please refer to the syllabus and billboard. One group presentation is to be given. All four portions make up for the total 35 points.

Midterm and Final Exam

Midterm exam is weighed as heavily as the Final one, each counts for 27.5 points.
